Safeguarding at DMU
Safeguarding is an umbrella term which considers all the activities we do aimed at respecting the fundamental right for adults and children to be safe. This includes the services we provide and policies and procedures in place to help prevent and minimise the risk of harm both to children’s and to adults’ welfare.

Sickness/Absence Policy
Students should be aware of the absence reporting policy; there is a flowchart below advising them of how to report an absence for either an academic session or a placement shift.

If you are concerned that a student has not attended a shift where they are expected, please contact the Duty Commander.
